Hurray! Michiel has his Alaskan driver's license! His Dutch license was valid for 90 days after entering the state. To get an Alaskan license he had to do a theoretical (written) test (many questions about losing your license and alcohol) and a road test. We chose to do the road test in Seward, because its traffic is easier than Anchorage. Luckily Michiel has had lots of time to practice (for instance on the seemingly endless roads in Canada on our way up here) because in the Netherlands he never drove.
